Last Chance Open I.D. Showcase (November 5th, 2016)
Tirrell has a lanky-athletic build at 5-foot-11 160-pounds. Offensively- LHH starts in a crouch with neutral feet and the bat rested on his back shoulder. As pitch comes in, Tirrell uses a big leg kick and loads hands back and up. Swing is fluid but gets long occasionally. Good athlete has shown well at multiple PBR events in the past (June '16 and NJ Games July '16). Recorded an Exit Velocity of 85 mph. Defensively- athletic actions in the field and quick lateral movements stood out with Tirrell. Throws topped at 82 mph, but he has been up to 83 mph. Able to throw from multiple different arm slots. 

New Jersey Games (July 23-25, 2016)
Tirrell is a lean, athletic 5-foot-11 160-pounds and plays the middle infield. Ran a 6.98 60, one of the best of the event. Offensively, Tirrell starts in a crouch with the bat resting on his shoulder. Load is started by a small leg kick from the left side. Hands are loaded below shoulder. Load is smooth and controlled. Finish is balanced. Hips are explosive and he has an idea for a bat bath. Exit Velocity: 83.
Defensively - Tirrell had one of the highest infield velocities at 83 mph. Throws from a high-3/4 slot with carry and advanced footwork. Very smooth in the field in his approach to ground balls. Exchange is clean. Quick arm. Can play SS at the next level.


Futures Preview (6/2/16)
Tirrell is a 5-foot-11 160-pound middle infielder with an athletic body for his age. Had the highest Position Velocity from SS at 83. Ran the 60 in 6.98 seconds. Offensively, Tirrell sets up in a low athletic crouch and uses a small leg kick to create power. Tirrell's lower half powers his swing as his hips rotate explosively through the zone. Strong, athletic and balanced in his finish, Exit Velocity: 82. Defensively- throws from a high-3/4 arm slot with exceptional footwork and clean hands for his age. Throws exploded out of his hand with great back spin and carry.
