7/16/15 – Coyle is an athletic 6-foot OF/RHP from Sparta High School. He displayed highest level athleticism from the start, running a 6.69 and showing an 87 mile-per-hour exit velocity off of the tee. He also threw 86 MPH from the outfield in the showcase portion. In game, Coyle showed great range and the ability to track fly balls to both his left and right. Offensively, he hits from an even athletic stance and rocks his weight and hands back into a hitting position. He displayed a short path to the ball and a line drive swing plane, cutting off extension some with his pull side approach. Later in the round, he did spray line drives all over the field as he began to keep in the hitting zone better.

On the mound, Coyle displayed a quiet confidence and solid rhythm throughout his delivery. His arm was loose and long on the back end and he found a consistent release point over his front side. He pitched at 83-86 miles-per-hour with arm side run. He also displayed a tight 72-74 MPH slider with late bite and a changeup with late downward action to his arm side at 78-79. Coyle is a very solid two-way prospect.
