6-foot-2, 205-pound left-handed pitcher who is developing nicely on the mound. It has been awhile since we saw TJ but he is doing a nice job with his pitching. The fastball has jumped up to 85 mph. The spin pitch 65 mph, the pitch is big, as it needs more fastball hand speed to it. The changeup is 75 mph, with the right shape and fade. The delivery needs a few tweaks as he is doing it with arm strength right now. The tracking of the front shoulder needs to improve as he pulls off the plate now. The slot raises into a plus ¾ slot cause of the hard pull of the glove side. Evening out his shoulder plane and getting a little better direction will aid his ability to throw strikes and eventually he will throw very hard. Good follow as he is big and left-handed.
Left-handed pitcher who comes at you with deception and a good sinking fastball. The arm is slightly a one piece on the backside as he gets fully extended back there but gets clean out front. The delivery is up and down, comes up with the front shoulder at leg lift and then shifts back down as the arm comes through. The head does move slightly at acceleration phase. The fastball is heavy and sinks, touching 80 mph. I really like his fastball. The breaking pitch is soft, he locks his wrist and slows the hand down, needs to get more fastball hand speed to it and let the fingers cut the ball. The changeup is 61 mph and has the makings of being a good pitch. Good looking prospect for me, could make a jump with a spin pitch adjustment.
