5-foot-8, 175-pound, average athletic frame. A right-handed hitting catcher, feet are even, shoulder width apart. The hands are loose, set just below shoulder height. For timing uses a smooth controlled leg kick, lower half is under control, stride is soft and straight. The swing is down to flat through the zone, keeps the barrel in the zone a long time. The finish is high with one hand. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 77 mph and ran a 5.13 from home to first. Defensively, the arm was clocked at 65 mph, works out of a natural ¾ slot, path is short on the back side, with no hesitation during the transfer. Showed to have more of a rock and throw approach on throws down to second base, pop time of 2.35-2.46. The hands showed to be soft, and worked hard on the dirt ball, showing good agility getting around the baseball. Strength and overall conditioning will aid in his development.
