8/17/14 – Cantrell is a strong 6-foot-3, 225-pound left-hand hitting corner infielder. He posted a home-to-first time of 5.01. Tanner throws from a high 3/4 arm slot and short arm action. His throws were mostly accurate and had some carry. His position velo was 77 MPH. At the plate, Cantrell has an athletic setup with a long stride. He has fast bat speed with a strong lower half. Tanner has good balance and definite pull power. Cantrell had an exit velo of 86 MPH.
2/23/14 – Cantrell is a big bodied 6-foot-3, 220-pound left-handed hitting 1B.  At the plate, Cantrell has quick bat with pull power.  He starts with in a balanced position and uses a strong lower half to generate power. His exit velo was 85 MPH and ran a 4.71 home-to-first.  Defensively, Cantrell is a big target at first-base.  He showed soft hands and good footwork.  He has a 77 MPH positional velo.
6/19/13: The 6-foot-3, 200-pound Cantrell impressed with his ability at the plate and at first base. Offensively, Cantrell uses an explosive lower half and strong hands to generate quick bat speed through the zone and drive it with pull side power.  At first base, the strong-bodied Cantrell has good footwork around the base and sure hands. He also showed some skill at third base during games, with quick reaction to the ball, and keeping everything in front of him.


2/18/13: Cantrell is a well built 6-foot-3, 220-pound first baseman who impressed with power at the plate. The left handed hitting Cantrell has a balanced stance at the plate with fast bat speed creating barrel whip through the zone and driving the ball with power and backspin carry to the right side. He swings hard and hits it hard, as evidenced by his 87-mph exit velocity off the bat. At first base, Cantrell showed to be a sure handed fielder with good footwork around the bag
