6/9/15 - Katzfey is a 6-foot-1 185-pound left-handed hitting outfielder.  He ran a 6.91 60 and had an exit velo of 91 mph, one of the event’s best.  During batting practice, has tall stance long stride, attacks ball, middle to pull, power to pull gap, level path to extension, strong hands.  In the outfield,  plays through catch, short arm swing, fluid footwork, quick exchange and release, 81 mph positional velo.
2/16/15 - Katzfey is a left-hand hitting outfielder and first baseman with a strong 6-foot-1, 185-pound frame. Attends Lee’s Summit HS in Lee’s Summit, MO. Class of 2016. Tall set-up at the plate, minimal load, strides inline, short bat path, extension through the baseball, maintains balance. Aggressive swing with bat speed, repeats. Showed some pull side juice. 93 mph exit velocity, ran a 4.19 home-to-first. Quick hands and exchanges in the outfield, low three-quarters slot, 80 mph throwing velocity, accurate throws. Katzfey has matured physically and made across the board improvement since the summer.
6/18/14 - Katzfey is a wiry 6-foot-1, 165-pound left-hand hitting outfielder.  In the outfield he showed average feet and threw with short three-quarters arm action.  His top throw was clocked at 70 mph.  At the plate, he has a tall, athletic set-up and slightly open stance.  Katzfey strides inline and has a minimal hand load.  His hands work well and he generates bat speed.  He maintains balance throughout, has extension and middle-oppo approach.  His top home-to-1B time was 4.41 from the left side.  He went 1-for-2 in his game at bats.
