11/8/14 - Draffen is a slender 5-foot-8 138-pound catcher.  Behind the plate, has advanced actions, quick feet, quick/clean exchange, mostly accurate throws, 73 mph positional velo, pop times between 1.97 and 2.12, blocked and received the ball well during bullpens. At the plate, athletic set up, slight hand load, lands square, middle-to-oppo approach, level bat path to extension, overall simple and repeatable swing mechanics, 80 mph exit velo, runs a 7.37 60 and 4.65 home-to-first, carries a score of 28 on ACT.

2/23/14 – Draffen is 5-foot-8, 137-pound catcher.  Draffen runs a 4.65 home-to-first with an exit velo of 81 MPH.  At the plate, he has a gap-to-gap approach with a smooth load and a level swing to extension.  He starts with an open stance and a short stride and was able to consistently square up the ball.  Defensively, Draffen had pop-times between 1.99 and 2.06.  He had a fluid exchange and good footwork.  He recorded a positional velo of 77 MPH with somewhat accurate throws to second.
