8/17/14 – Larkins is a projectable 6-foot-2, 165-pound left-handed pitcher. He has a ¾ delivery and loose arm action. Colton throws with easy effort, has very good rhythm, and stays level with his shoulders. Colton had a fastball velocity range of 76-78 MPH with sink. His curveball was at 66-67 MPH with 1/7 tilt. Larkins also displayed a change-up that ranged from 67-69 MPH with near fastball arm speed and great command. He attacked the strike zone in his outing. He finished with a strikeout and looked very comfortable.

2/17/14 – Larkins is a left-handed pitcher and a consistent strike-thrower. The lanky 6-foot-1 155 pounder has a 75-78 MPH fastball that comes from a ¾ arm slot. He showed a 2/8 curveball with late break at 62-63 MPH. He throws his change-up with near fastball arm speed at 68-69 MPH with sink. Larkins starts from a good balance point and throws with easy effort. He has smooth rhythm and stays in-line throughout his delivery. Larkins has command of three pitches, which will produce outs and ultimately wins for his program.
