2/17/17 - Kobel is a 5-foot-10 175-pound right-handed hitting shortstop and right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2019 class.  He ran a 4.42 home to first and has an exit velo of 88 mph. At the plate, balanced stance, no wasted movement in load, short and compact swing, hard line drives in hitting evaluation gap-to-gap, repeats swing, flashing pull side pop.  On the infield, 74 mph positional velo, high three quarters arm slot, arm works, made all plays cleanly with athletic actions in feet and hands, accurate throws. On the mound, Kobel is a strong framed strike thrower, high three quarters release, repeats delivery with no wasted movement, body stays under control, easy arm action, fastball at 75-77 mph, some with late run, early breaking 12-to-6 curveball, all at 65 mph, change up at 67-68 mph, some flashing arm side run.

6/14/16 - Kobel is a 5-foot-10 160-pound right-handed hitting outfielder and pitcher in Missouri’s 2019 class.  He ran a 7.44 60 and a 4.94 home-to-first.  He has a 77 mph exit velo. At the plate, balanced set up, minimal load, level path through the zone, some line drive contact to middle and pull side of the field.  In the outfield, high three quarters release, 75 mph positional velo, moves well to the ball, loose arm action, fluid actions with momentum through the catch, mostly accurate throws. On the mound, Kobel has a high three-quarters release, hands separate with stride, in-line stride, simple and repeatable delivery, controlled body, fastball at 71-75 mph, curveball has 11-to-5 action, controllable change up at 62-64 mph, arm side sink, good pitch, throws for strike, worked mostly fastball and change up in game action, did not allow a hit, two strikeouts, two walks in outing.
