5-foot-11, 175-pound catcher. Richert has made good strides since his first event in August of 2014. Has gained 10-pounds of quality weight. Ran a 7.44 60 yard dash. Better set-up with easy load into swing. Consistently squared baseball with strength. Lower half is stiff at times. Shows good actions behind the plate with ability to receive and block. Improved accuracy and release with personal best 2.03 pop time.
5-foot-11, 165-pound 2 way player. 5.08 home to first time. Right handed hitter with easy load and short stride. Minimal weight shift through contact. Short to ball with short finish. Pull approach. Exit velocity of 79 mph. Defensively shows good flexibility behind the dish. Has usable hands and excellent blocking mechanics on balls in dirt. Shows proper footwork and exchanges. Inconsistent release point and rushes throws. Velocity of 67 mph and pop times of 2.12-2.34. On the mound, uses easy and simple mechanics. Good balance point and direction to plate. Will catapult weight towards home losing fluidity. Straight fastball at 73-74 mph. Curveball showed gradual break and was 60-63 mph.
