6/18/13 At 5-10 150 pounds, Waldrop is evenly proportioned and rangy with plenty of room for weight and strength gains.  Long thru zone and keeps hands back.  Timing issue leads to inconsistency. Higher upside on mound.  Easy, repeatable delivery with mostly straight fastball sitting 83-85, he has some run when down.  Curveball acts like slider at times at 70-72. Time on his side.

2/9/13 Tyler Waldrop (Grand Ledge HS, 2015) is a sleeper.  Only 5-foot-10, Waldrop’s arm works really well and is extremely quick.  He pounds the strikes zone with three pitches the best of which was his breaking ball. He has mad some big jumps since last summer especially with his breaking ball. It was hard and tight with good downer action.  Provided Waldrop continues his progression and makes another big jump he will be a steal for the right program.

7/23/12 Waldrop is an intriguing looking pitcher in the 2015 recruiting class.  His arm was really quick and he displayed the ability to command three pitches for strikes with feel.  His lower half worked well in connection with his deliver which is rare at a younger age.  He will be one to watch moving forward.  His fastball sat in the low 80's but will be sure to improve.
