At the plate uses a narrow stance bending his knees with his bat resting on his shoulder. As the ball approaches uses a toe tap load and swings slight up hill. On the mound uses a calm motion lowering his hands and taking his leg chest high. Throws with a long loose arm from a high 3/4 arm angle. Fastball ranged 67-73 mph. Curve has a 12/6 break 56-59 mph. Deceptive change up thrown at the same arm speed as his fastball 62-65 mph.

Knightley has a 5-foot-8, 180-pound frame. Hits with a calm approach with minimal movement until he explodes on the ball using a small toe tap.His exit velocity was 70 mph and he ran the 60-yard dash in 8.62. On the infield, he sets his feet well to turn the double play. His velocity from first base was 65 mph. Easily repeated motion with a loose arm action thrown from a 3/4  angle. 66-67 mph fastball with cut action, 11/5 curve 53-58 mph, and 60-61 mph change up.
