1/27/12 Valasek's best attribute is his arm.  He was 84mph from the outfield. The lanky Valasek showed aggressive actions charging the baseball aand playing through it.  He had good carry to all of his throws.  At the plate, he showed a level bat path and a line drive stroke.

7/23/12 Valasek is a solid athlete who ran a 7.12 60 yard dash.  He certainly has some arm strength as he threw 81 mph from the outfield.  On the mound he kept the fastball down in the zone and threw it consistently for strikes.  At 5-foot-11, 160-pounds he does have some room to grow and add velocity and strength.
