Paul Nixon was 84-86 on the mound for Youse, doing a nice job of pounding the zone from the windup. Would like to see better tempo in between pitches with runners on, which should help with his repeatability. His breaking ball had 11/5 action at 75-77 mph. He has a longer athletic arm on the mound that reaches behind upon separation. Throws with little effort and looks to have more in tank. Was a bit pull happy in his aggressive swing at the plate, would like to see him let his hands work through contact a bit more

11.5.16 - Strong physical frame at 6-foot-3, 230-pounds. Ran a 7.79 60-yard dash with a 1.95 10-yard split. Hits from an athletic setup. Smooth load back with leg kick and nice rhythm throughout. Slightly uphill bat path with explosive bat speed. Put on a power display during BP. Good extension through contact. Exit velocity of 98 mph. Solid actions in the infield. Athletic and stays on balls of feet well for size. Clean hands, good footwork, and quick turn to second. Infield velocity of 81 mph.

6.21.16 - Physically advanced at 6-foot-2, 230-pounds. Hits fro an athletic slightly open set up. Smooth load to hitting position. Level swing path and shows nice ability to elevate the baseball and use his strength and generates fast bat speed at the plate. Barreled up plenty of baseballs during his BP. 98 mph exit velocity. Nice extension through contact. Already a power threat and should continue to get even stronger. Sound footwork at the bag, with solid hands. Longer arm action throwing from a high 3/4 slot. Moves well at the bag and shows arm strength.

6.4.16 - 2018 Paul Nixon has a strong physical frame has a loose arm action with arm speed. Was up to 82 on the day and looks to have more in the tank.  At the plate takes a healthy cut with fast bat speed and power potential.  Makes loud contact and barreled up ball well
