5-foot-9, 165 pounds, wiry build with room to add strength, sloped shoulders, good lower half. Will need to focus on strength gains to continue making velocity gains. Easy and repeatable delivery. In control and inline, DiVirgilio worked with pace and intent on the bump. Throwing from a ¾ slot from the left hand side, he gets good run on his fastball tailing away from righties. He threw the fastball between 72-76 mph, preferring to work down in the zone. His curveball has some big bend to it, coming in between 59-62 mph. The pitch gets good 11/5 shape. Tightening up the break and throwing with some more velocity will help it become an even more consistent out pitch. The changeup is a bit firm right now and is still developing. However, the pitch, which comes in at 68-71 mph, showed promise in becoming a show me pitch with the potential for more. There was some movement to it and should be deceptive coming off of his fastball. Overall, with physical development and continued work harnessing command of his repertoire, DiVirgilio could make strides in his junior season.

Mass. 2019 Top Prospect Games (July 19, 2016)
Left-handed pitcher that we are seeing for the first time, as he is recovering from a concussions he received during batting practice at a previous event. Threw the ball well, in my opinion. The fastball has true left-handed movement, touching 73 mph. The breaking ball is big, sat at 60mph, and he needs to get on top of the ball to improve the angle of the pitch. The changeup is similar to a palm ball, has a good change in velocity, but still needs turnover and action. Maturation and physical development should aid his progress. The delivery is clean, pitches out of a ¾ arm slot, with a short path on the back side; shows athleticism. The glove side is posted very well as he gets into foot strike. Interesting prospect to watch. 1.41 to the plate from the stretch.
