Put together a very strong four-game showing this summer, striking out 14 in 11.1 innings of work, allowing just three hits (.077 BAA) in the process. The lone run charged to Florence on the Cape season came in his first appearance when he exited the game with a runner on and saw that batter come around to score on a subsequent homer. In our look, the 6-foot-3, 210-pound hurler worked 88-92 mph with his fastball and paired it with a mid-to-upper-70s curve. A senior member of the Hartford staff this spring, Florence will take his talents to Rutgers as a graduate transfer this fall.
6-foot-1, 165-pound prospect. Nathan is a very good prospect with a projectable body. He shows serious life on his current low-80s fastball. The ball jumps out of his hand and his long arms lead you to believe he could be a high level guy down the road. Nathan's changeup has solid rotation with some good action to it at 77 mph. Nathan's breaking ball is currently a bit soft but the spin is there and should improve while sitting in the upper-60s.
