5-foot-11, 200 pounds, average athletic build. Well-proportioned frame. Ran a 4.59 home-to-first. At the plate, Flynn is slightly closed off with a swing built to hit line drives to all fields. His hands are loose and work just below the shoulders, while he starts with a wider base as his feet are a little further than shoulder width apart. Flynn is balanced and under control, with decent hip rotation. Could see more power come into play in the near future. Registered an exit velocity off of a tee at 91 mph. During gameplay, Flynn collected a single. Defensively, he throws from a higher ¾ slot and was clocked at 78 mph across the diamond from third base. It can be a little long on the backside when getting into throws. He has a good feel for the position and enough athleticism to stick. On the mound, Flynn works from a high ¾ slot. His arm is whippy. At times, Flynn can struggle to find his release point leading to erratic control. He throws two pitches, with a fastball that sat between 75-78 mph. His curveball, which at times can be slurvy with the break, was 62-65 mph. At its best, the pitch has an 11/5 shape with solid vertical drop. Adding a third offering, specifically to help keep lefties on their toes, will be important in Flynn’s development as a pitcher. Overall, he profiles more as a position player moving forward.
