Physical right-handed hitting catcher/first baseman who shows very good athleticsm. The tools to catch are there and he has plenty of arm strength to aid the process. Threw 78 from behind the dish with carry. The pop time was 2.01. The transfer can be cleaned up a bit with better footwork, an easy fix with work. The bat is physical, its flat through the zone and he displays plus power potential. The tee exit velocity was 90. The setup was wide with an easy hand start. The bat path is slightly long and flat to the ball. He gets to his front foot early but the head stays back to the ball. Good looking player, who could do damage in the middle of the order.

Big and physical right-handed hitting catcher with very good tools. Shows power potential with the bat. At 6-foot-3, 200-pounds he leans on the ball very well. The swing definitely needs more refinement as he isn’t on time with his feet and the back elbow is high. However, the potential is there, displayed by bolting a ball over the centerfielders head in the game. Tee exit velocity of 89 and threw 80 from behind the dish. The received is still a little stiff with his hands but it’s improving. The pop time was 1.94 and could be cleaned with better footwork. Ran a 4.77 down the line.
2/16/15
This is the second event Josh came to and he showed much better at this one. Ran a 7.6 and did it with improving form and effort. Threw 82 in the infield and showed a solid glove at first. Had a pop time of 1.89 with room to still clean up his feet and transfer as a catcher. Certainly has the tools to catch, as receiving has improved as well. The swing is strong and flat with pull side power to it. Tee exit velocity of 91 as his bottom half is simple with a pick up and put down front foot approach. Very good athlete for me.

6-foot-3, 185-pound prospect. Josh did it all at the event. He threw 82 mph from the outfield and worked out behind the dish as well. Joshua looks to be an outfielder first. He is a good looking athlete who ran a 7.40 and has a good arm. Joshua has some life in his bat with an 86 mph bat head speed. He has a big leg kick that he probably could eliminate to help him gain leverage in his swing. This will help him handle secondary stuff. There is potential in this player.
