8/5/15
Big and athletic right-hander who is coming off having a fracture in his back a year ago. The arm works and he touched 86 in warm-ups. In the game, he pitched at 84 out of a high-¾ arm slot. The breaking ball is sharp and tight at 71, throwing it for a strike needs to improve but you can teach that spin, its legit. The fastball does have cut to it, taking away from his velocity. The delivery needs cleaning as he pulls off and opens the bottom half soon. Certainly things that can be cleaned up.

Big and athletic right-handed pitcher who I have seen pitch twice now. The delivery and direction of his feet are much improved from the last outing. The arm works well and the frame is outstanding. The fastball has life to it and sits currently at 83-84, more to come for sure. The breaking ball, 70 mph, has a shape that is correct and it comes out of his hand with deception. This will be an out pitch at the next level. Threw a bunch of split grip changeups that had good deception to them and the action was good. The changeup speed (78/79) needs a tweak but the pitch works for him. 1.2 to the plate out of the stretch and held his posture doing so.
