6-foot-1, 180-pound, wiry strong athletic frame. The frame has plenty of room to fill out and put added weight on. A right-handed pitcher with a super clean arm on the back side, is short and works with easy effort. The delivery is simple, repeats it for the most part, hands come set a slightly farther away from the frame in the gather position. The arm action is super loose, and short on the back side. The arm works out of a natural ¾ slot, clocked at 82-86 mph, located it to both sides of the plate, with heavy action to the arm side. The breaking ball is more of a slider, late hard break to it at 69-72 mph. The changeup is still a work in progress, arm action is clean enough to be able to develop this pitch. Outing was clean, pounded the zone with one strike after another, hitters had a hard time squaring up the baseball with heavy two-pitch mix. Times to the plate are quick at 1.25. Big time follow, should be able to help someone right away, get out and see.
6/28/16
Right-handed hitting middle infielder who displayed the best throwing arm on the day, throwing 88 mph across the diamond. The glove is solid, and the prep steps to the ball are fine, tends to be too upright at times. Ran a 4.76 on a dig to first, looking for that to improve. The bat has buggy whip to it, tee exit velocity of 87 mph. Hits out of even stance, high back elbow and at times looks as if his hands are tied up during the swing. Needs to get hands to work a bit more freely to the ball. Takes a big step to the ball during the swing, making it difficult to handle secondary pitching. Wonder if he is ever going to try and pitch, cause his arm speed is outstanding.
1.18.2016
Right-handed hitting infielder who has been to events previously. A very skilled athlete who can run, throw and shows plus hand speed at the plate. In the infield, shows a solid glove and clean footwork. The arm is extremely fast and he touched 79 mph across the diamond with more to come. Ran a 7.41 60-yard dash, that will improve as he matures. The bat speed is very good, 86 mph off the tee. The bat path needs to be flattened a bit as the barrel is in and out of the zone to quickly. Has all the tools to be a very good hitter. Hits with his feet starting close together and a high elbow. Can really handle the barrel, just needs to tweak his bath, and get his bottom half a bit more under control. Keep an eye on this player, should be a very good one.
10/11/15
Right- handed hitting infielder who put on a good display at the event. The arm really stands out for a young man his age, as he threw 80 across the diamond with a ¾ slot that works quickly. The glove is playable and his footwork to the ball could improve with reps and coaching. Ran a 4.6 on a ground ball. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 83 to it, there is life in his hands and the path to the ball is currently long. This guy looks like he could be a very good prospect down the line. Would not surprise me if someone tries to put him on the mound, as the arm swing and action are excellent.
3/8/15
5-foot-11, 165 pounds with an average frame. The right hander throws through a near low ¾ slot with short arm action. Arm slot generates some arm-side run with his 74-75 mph fastball. The 62-64 mph breaking ball features gradual breaking slurvy like action. Also mixed in a 68-70 mph changeup that will become more effective as he gains consistent command. From the infield he shows soft hands and fields the ball into his body. Throw from an easy, low-¾ slot with 70 mph velocity across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that starts open and stay slightly open. Tends to be a little stiff on front leg with a swing that gets in and out of the zone. Registered top exit velocity of 75 mph and ran 7.87-60.
