Right-handed pitcher who has attended a number of PBR New England events. The arm works well, slightly higher than ¾ and the ball comes out nicely. Athletic lift out of a stretch setup with a side step to start. Shows crossfire to his feet, and the tracking of the shoulders needs to improve as he pulls the glove down, causing the head to shift, raising the slot. The backside needs to come through appropriate after release of the ball as well. The stuff itself is good, command is still in question due to the above mentioned. Fastball was 84-86 mph and true. The breaking ball has depth and tilt to it, sitting 65-68. Showed plus action on his changeup while warming up. Good looking arm, and with some minor tweaks could make a jump.
Right-handed pitcher who has shown very well at PBR events. The delivery is on time and has coil to it at the top of lift. The direction of his feet and the action of his front side are quieting nicely. The fastball has sink and run to it from a slightly higher than ¾ slot. Touched 82 mph as he is still getting into pitching shape. The spin pitch is good, has the right shape to it and touches 67 mph. The rotation is there, just needs a tick more fastball to it. The changeup has a chance to be a plus pitch, the correct rotation comes and goes, the velocity of it is 75 mph. Good looking arm
Lanky right-handed pitcher who showed very well for himself at the Danvers workout. Pitches out of an easy delivery, slightly higher than ¾ arm slot. Fastball has good ride to it and comes out of his hand nicely. The fastball sat 83-84 mph, and was around the strike zone throughout the throwing session. The breaking ball is very good at times, has depth and tilt to it. It is 11/7 and has good late bit, got up to 69 mph. The changeup has the right rotation, still a tick too hard at 77-78 mph. The delivery is clean, the feet are on-line and he repeats. There is coil at the top of the leg lift, but the timing top to bottom is good. The frame has room to fill out. Look for this guy to make a jump in velocity and for the breaking ball to be formidable at the next level.
