Right-handed hitting middle infielder who has really improved in the last year. The glove and arm have plenty in it to be a top flight recruit. Handles the pivot well and can kick over to second base if needed. Threw 84 mph across the diamond with ease and a good slot for the position. Ran a 4.5 down the line on a dig and is improving his footspeed every time we see him. At the plate, tee exit velocity of 87. The frame is starting to fill out as he is getting stronger. The path is simple, flat and clean to the ball. Hits out of a wide base and even hand setup. Very good looking player, and with an improving skill set. He’s a worker.

Thin railed right-handed hitting infielder who shows a solid glove and the ability to make all the throws. Profiles as a second baseman currently but has the arm to play shortstop. The arm path is short and ideal for the pivot, as his game will improve with coaching and reps. The swing is loose and on time. The hand path is very well done, strength is needed to the frame. As he matures, look for this guy to be a solid college prospect. Loves to play and works at his game.

Showed valid improvement at the Franklin Pierce event. Played tremendous defense in the game and showed good life in his hands at the plate. Plenty of arm in the infield as he threw 82 across the diamond. The glove is advanced and the transfer is done with ease. The prep steps to the ball are done correctly. Needs to improve his foot speed to aid his running time and his range in the infield. The bat has looseness to it and the path is very well executed. Tee exit velocity of 83. Getting control of his bottom half will help, just calming down his feet a bit. I really like this guys game, would like to see him improve his running and getting stronger. If he does that, you got yourself a D1 player.

Showed very well at shortstop, his hands and actions are very good, footwork is advanced for his age, showed an arm of 77 across the diamond with plus carry on it. He has a very short and quick arm path. At the plate, hits from the right side, the stance is wide, he is balanced and the path to the ball is good. His tee exit velocity was 84 and time down the line was 4.62. He has a thin frame, has loads of potential and really loves the game. Played hard from start to finish. Someone to watch as he matures.

Drew DeMartino, 2B/SS, Taconic HS, 2018
9/20/15 (NJ) – DeMartino showed advanced actions defensively with soft hands and quick transfer skills. He showed 78 mile-per-hour arm strength across the diamond with a quick arm action. He hits from the right side with an even, balanced stance. He has good barrel control for a player his age and he keeps it through the hitting zone. There is a lot to like about his game as he has a chance to be an above average prospect.
