6-foot-5, 210 pounds, wiry, lanky, and long-limbed. The shoulders are narrow but there is still plenty of room for Shea to fill out, adding upper and lower body strength to his projectable frame. As a right handed pitcher, he is still honing his command of all the offerings in his four pitch mix but throws them from the same slot, with the same arm speed. He pitches out of a high ¾ slot and gets his pitches downhill. Shea throws a heavy fastball between 75-80 mph. The pitch has some tailing movement too it, riding in on the hands of same handed hitters. The curveball has an 11/5 shape, coming in between 64-68 mph. Shea also throws a slider that sits 71-73 mph. The pitch darts out of the zone with late break, when at its best. The changeup comes in at 73 mph without much movement, but should eventually improve with repetition. Shea was comfortable going to both his breaking balls during his time on the mound, inducing swings-and-misses with both pitches. Overall, Shea fits the definition of projectable with his 6-foot-5 frame, and has a promising four pitch mix.
