6-foot-4, 180-pound right-handed hitting outfielder and right-handed pitcher. Defensively, shows good awareness and ability to get off the ball in the outfield. Threw 80 mph from the outfield with carry. Ran a 4.01 down the line on his dig. This guy is a real good athlete. Offensively, tee exit velocity of 90 mph. The swing has life to it, hits out of a wide set up. Glides into the ball with his feet and hammers the ball with a long and strong swing. Dangerous swing if he gets into his legs during the swing. On the mound, pitches out of a plus ¾ slot with good extension out front. The direction of his front foot comes directly at the right-handed batters box, major crossfire to his delivery. The arm is long on the backside and quick out front. Repeats the angle and is difficult to get clean swings off of. Fastball sits 84-86 mph with arm side action. The spin pitch is big, as he slows his hand down, sits at 68 mph. Very interesting prospect.
Tee Exit Velocity-90 mph
OF Velocity- 80 mph
8/20/16
Potential two-way prospect as he looks the part at 6-foot-4, 175-pounds. Positionally, showed good athleticism in the outfield. Took the proper routes on fly balls and was active with his feet during pre reads. Threw 76 from the outfield with carry and more to come. Ran a 4.45 down the line on his dig as his strides are long and easy. At the plate, tee exit velocity of 82 mph. Starts with even feet and the posture is upright. As the swing begins, drops his head and posture a bit. The swing is long and flat, the hands work clean, just need better direction to them. Has very good leverage and gets the barrel out front during batting practice. The bottom half has action to it, he takes a big step to the ball as it approaches. On the mound, has a clean ¾ arm slot. The feet have crossfire to them as he gets into foot strike quickly. The stride is short in relation to the body length, may be the reason the velocity has not bounced yet. Slight back arch as he brakes his hands as well. Fastball touched 75 mph, true spin. The breaking pitch was 69 mph and at times showed the right shape. Interesting follow, as he is a good athlete with leverage.
