8/20/17
5-foot-10, 210-pound, strong, thick, athletic frame. The shoulders are rounded off, back is wide, has strength throughout. A left-handed hitter, feet are even, set at shoulder width apart. The hands are set at shoulder height, with the bat starting in a relaxed, balanced position. For timing uses a bigger load, hands have separation from the body, gets slightly arm bared, with a bigger leg kick. The swing is flat through the zone, the barrel has some life out front on contact, and finishes the swing off at shoulder height with one hand. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 79 mph, approach was more from gap to gap. Time down the line was at 5.19. Defensively, the hands are super soft, are relaxed and fields the baseball out front. The arm works out of a higher slot, clocked at 68 mph across the diamond. The arm action is short and works smoothly on the back side, feet move throughout on throws. The feet showed to be clean around the bag, receives and picks the ball very well. Continued strength and conditioning will aid in his development.
Home-First: 5.19
Exit Velocity: 79 MPH
Arm Velocity: 68 MPH

5-foot-10, 210-pound left-handed hitting first baseman. Threw 68 mph across the diamond with a clean arm path. The feet work good around the bag and he can handle the position with ease. Tee exit velocity of 81 mph. Singled twice in the game, showing the ability to spread the field. The set up is even with his feet, minimal movement on the bottom half. Stays in the swing and spreads the field with the barrel. The path is quick and flat to the ball, showed plus bat speed to contact. I like the bat, has a very good chance to be a plus hitter down the road. The hands work simple in the game. On the mound, the fastball touched 70 mph. The breaking pitch 63-65, big in shape, as it needs more fastball hand speed to it. The delivery is online, comes at you above a 3/4 slot. The lift is methodical and he runs away from the arm as he makes his away into foot strike. Needs to improve tracking of the front shoulder. The front leg and front foot needs to stay closed as he makes his way into foot strike. Currently opens up the front foot too soon.
Tee Exit Velocity- 81 mph
INF Velocity- 68 mph
