10/4/14 - 5-foot-8, 140-pound prospect uses long arm action through a high-3/4 arm slot, lower half stays online, repeatable mechanics, consistently throws strikes, fastball sat 70-74 mph and topped at 75, fastball shows some slight arm-side run, showed a 65-66 mph curveball which tended to be flat and needs continued development, allowed four hits, walked one, and struck out two in his two innings of work in game play.  As a position player, right-handed hitter, hits from a balanced stance with a short stride, shows good balance, hands drop late, long swing path with opposite field tendencies, posted a 4.82 home to first base time, 64 mph exit velocity off the tee, went 0-for-3 in game play.  Defensively, showed average hands, can work through the baseball better, accurate throws across the infield, developing 67 mph arm strength from short high-3/4 release.
