7/5/16 - Max FB: 83, FB: 81-83, CB: 65-69, CH: 66,
5-foot-11, 165-pound LHP uses longer arm action and works through a high-3/4 slot with normal effort, works across body at times, fastball has hard arm-side run occasionally, curveball has tight spin and late 1/7 action, threw one changeup that missed up in the zone, allowed one hit, two walks, and struck out three (2 FB, 1 CB) in his two innings of work. Sutton is a top lefty in the 2018 class with his current velocity and ability to spin the curveball.

5-foot-11, 165-pound, RHH hits from a square stance and utilizes a leg kick and short stride, keeps the barrel in the zone a long time to produce line drive contact to all fields, showed a significant jump in bat speed during exit velocity testing, followed up a good round of BP by going 2-for-3 in game play with a double to LF. Athletic defender moves fluidly in the outfield, solid arm strength from a long over the top release and average accuracy. Very interesting two way player.

2/13/16 - 60 Time: 7.07, Position Velocity:  OF-83, Exit Velocity: 84
5-foot-11, 160-pound RHH improved every measurable from fall event. Hits from a balanced stance, short stride, hands are loose, flat bat path produced consistent line drive contact to the middle of the field in very good round of BP, showed more consistent use of lower half. Plays through the ball aggressively with athletic actions, long over the top release with good arm strength and above average carry on throws. Sutton is one of the top two-way players we have seen from the 2018 class.

Sutton shows good velocity from the left side and is one of the top LHP’s in the 2018 class.

10/11/15 - 5-foot-9, 165 pound right-handed hitter hits from a balanced stance, loads back with front foot and uses a mid-length stride, maintains balance through finish, can get more out of backside, line drive type hitter with gap to gap approach, flat bat path, 74 mph exit velocity, ran a 7.20 60, went 1-for-3 in game play with a single to right field. Moves well in the outfield with good athleticism, plays through the ball well, good set up on fly balls, long over the top release with good arm strength, 83 mph with carry, very accurate throws, solid defender in the outfield. On the mound, LHP has potential to be a top lefty in the 2018 class. Uses medium back side arm action and works through a high-3/4 slot, over-the-head windup with regular effort in delivery, arm is quick, 79-80 mph fastball topped at 81 with occasional arm-side run, showed limited feel for 65-66 mph curveball with 12/6 action, was in the middle of football season and struggled with overall command allowing no hits but walking three in his one inning of work. Sutton is definitely a 2018 lefty to watch closely.
