6-foot-1, 186-pound RHP uses long arm action and works through a high-3/4 slot, minimal effort in delivery, stays tall and uses leverage to produce a downhill plane on fastball, velocity has remained similar from winter event, showed good feel for his curveball with sharp 11/5 action, good pitchability with the two-pitch mix, worked a perfect inning with one strikeout (looking CB).

60 Time: 7.94, Position Velocity:  IF-80, Exit Velocity: 83
As a position player, hits from a balanced stance, short stride, stays short to the ball and works inside the baseball well, line drive type hitter, gap to gap approach, went 0-for 3 in game play, saw better exit velocity at previous event (92mph). Shows some athleticism and moves well around the first base bag, solid arm strength with accurate throws.

2/13/16 - Max FB: 83, FB: 80-83, CB: 71-73, CH: 77-79,
6-foot-1, 186-pound RHP uses long arm action that wraps occasionally on backside, woks through a ¾ arm slot with regular effort, arm action is clean and projects for more velocity, throws strikes with all pitches, fastball shows slight arm-side run, good feel for curveball with 11/5 action, changeup shows some sink but will be more effective with bigger velocity difference off fastball. Thomas is an interesting mound prospect with more velocity likely to come.

As a position player, hits from a balanced stance, short stride, uses strong lower half well, strength-generated bat speed, steep swing path at times, flashes occasional power. Moves well around the first base bag with solid footwork, shows some athleticism, average hands, long high-3/4 release with mostly accurate throws, good arm strength across the infield. Thomas could develop into a power-type bat at the next level.
