12/15/13 - 5-foot-11, 165-pound prospect, athletic frame with room to fill, as an outfielder shows a two-handed approach to the ball on the ground, solid arm strength at 84 mph from an over the top slot.  At the plate, hits from a balanced setup with a short stride, short path to the ball and gets to extension, shows good bat speed with 86 mph tee exit velocity, ran improved home to first time at 4.62 (-.16 from previous event), On the mound, uses long and loose arm action through a high ¾ arm slot, repeats delivery well, fastball sat 79-81 mph, 2-seam fastball showed some arm-side run, curveball showed more downward action from previous events at 64-67 mph, changeup was the best we have seen it at 74-76 mph with good run and sink thrown with good arm action, secondary pitches have shown big improvement since last winter.

8/11/13 - 5-foot-11, 165-pound prospect, room to fill on frame and add strength, plays through the ball, 83 mph arm strength from the outfield.  At the plate, hits from a balanced setup, short stride, has an uphill path to the ball, shows occasional pull-side pop, showed some bat speed with 86 mph tee exit velocity (+4 from winter event), ran 4.78 down the line.  On the mound, room to fill on frame, throws from high ¾ arm slot, long arm action, mechanics are on-line, showed 2-3 mph increase in velocity from winter event, fastball sat 80-81 mph and is fairly straight, curveball sat 65-66 mph with 11/5 break, struggled some with command, secondary pitches showed some improvement from winter event.

2/18/13 - 5-foot-11, 170-pound prospect, medium arm action, 79 mph arm strength from outfield.  At the plate, uses an athletic base, short stride, he uses his lower body well to get good turn and weight transfer into the swing.  He has a slight uphill bat path with good extension and high hand finish, ran 7.26 60 yard dash, 82 mph tee exit velocity.  On the mound, tends to wrap on backside arm action, high ¾ arm slot, shows some rhythm in delivery, fastball is straight at 77-78 mph, lacked command of curveball with gradual 12/6 action at 61-65 mph, had a tendency to bury his changeup at 66-68 mph, has potential, needs to continue working on secondary pitches.
