12/15/13 - 5-foot-11, 155-pound prospect, soft hands, plays through the ball, accurate arm at 80 mph across the infield. At the plate, hits from a slightly open setup with a short stride, line-drive type hitter showed more of an opposite field approach on this occasion but has the ability to use all fields, showed slight improvement in home to first base time at 4.63. On the mound, arm is loose and quick, works through a high ¾ arm slot, good rhythm in delivery, fastball sat 80-82 mph, curveball shows 11/5 late action at 71-72 mph, changeup showed better arm-side run than in the past at 77-78 mph thrown with good arm speed, throws strikes.
8/11/13 - Moore is a 5-foot-11, 155-pound prospect we have seen multiple times. He shows the ability to play through the baseball with soft hands and showed a personal best 81 mph arm strength across with carry the infield. At the plate, showed a slightly open setup, short stride, line-drive type hitter uses all fields, showed an increase in bat speed with an 81 mph tee exit velocity (+4 from previous event), ran 4.69 down the line, went 1-for-4 in game play with a hard line drive single up the middle. Moore also pitched which will be featured in pitcher write-ups. On the mound, uses short to medium arm action, quick arm, works through a high ¾ arm slot, fastball shows occasional arm-side run at 78-83 mph (82-83 in first inning), lost some velocity in second inning of work, curveball has sharp 11/5 action at 70-73 mph, good command of curveball, arm works, throws strikes consistently.
6/26/13 - 5-foot-11, 155-pound prospect, have seen multiple times and like his defensive abilities, feet work well, plays through the ball with athletic actions, arm strength at 72 mph but have seen up to 77 at previous event, projects as 2nd baseman at the next level. Offensively, hits from a balanced, wide setup, smooth load, no stride, showed improved use of lower half since event last month, had a solid round of BP with several hard line drives, showed improved 60 time at 7.15 and improved tee exit velocity at 77 mph. On the mound, uses short arm action through a high ¾ arm slot, quick arm, fastball sat 79-81 mph and touched 83, curveball showed sharp 11/5 action at 70-73 mph, showed good command of curveball, changeup is straight and sat 73-76 mph.
6/11/13 - 5-foot-11, 155-pound prospect, feet work, showed improved arm strength over winter showcase at 77 mph, accurate arm. At the plate, uses a balanced, wide setup, no stride, good balance throughout, can incorporate better lower half torque in swing, ran 7.31 60 yard dash, registered 72 mph tee exit velocity.
