Physically advanced outfielder who shows defined strength in his 6-foot, 175-pound frame. Rice blazed a 6.76 60-yard dash showing off his athleticism and ability to cover ground in the outfield. During the throwing portion of the showcase, Rice displayed a strong throwing arm (84 mph) with carry, and remained in control of his body the entire time with solid hands. At the plate, Rice starts upright and open with his back elbow high, and utilizes the smallest of strides to square himself off as his hands works slightly back. From there, Rice works through the zone with quickness and strength from a short, level to uphill path. He is at his best when utilizing the middle of the field, and projects to have gap to gap power in the future. Overall, Rice’s speed and athleticism stand out right now.
