2/18/13 - 6-foot, 185-pound prospect.  On the mound,uses medium arm action through a high ¾ arm slot, good rhythm in delivery, arm shows some looseness, fastball sat 79-81 mph with some arm side run, good command of curveball that shows 1/7 action at 67-69 mph, changeup showed some cut action and sat 71-72 mph.  Patton showed 2-way potential as 1B/OF as well.left-handed hitting prospect, solid build, athletic outfield actions, plays through the ball, 80 mph arm strength.  Good actions and feet at 1B, soft hands, 76 mph arm strength across the infield.  At the plate, hits from open stance, squares frontside, starts with hands close to body, drops hands below back shoulder at load but is able to get above the ball in a short quick path.  Has a line drive swing with good weight transfer throughout and good extension through contact, registered 86 mph tee exit velocity.

1/21/13 - Patton is a 6-foot, 185-pound prospect that showed a quick arm through a high ¾ arm slot that produced a 79-81 mph fastball with occasional arm side run. He showed good command of his curveball that sat 69-71 mph and had late 12/6 action. His changeup was thrown with good arm action and fairly straight at 74-75 mph. Patton’s curveball was the better of his secondary pitches. The change up has the potential to be a good pitch for him with continued development.  In the outfield, shows athletic outfield actions, plays through the ball, 80 mph arm strength with carry.  Offensively, open stance, squares front side, long stride, good rhythm in swing, good use of lower half, line drive swing plane, registered 80 mph tee exit velocity, ran 5.18 40 yard dash.
