Defensively, showed hid best arm strength and pop times to date, receives the ball with a soft glove hand and has an efficient transfer, footwork stays online and produces accurate throws. McCabe continues to make strides in his game.

5-foot-10, 180-pound RHH ran an improved 60 time and recorded his best exit velocity to date. Hits from a balances stance, uses a leg kick and short stride, short swing path, foot got down late at times in BP, line drive type hitter, went 0-for-3 in game play. Showed similar arm strength and pop times as previous event, solid transfer and release with online footwork.

5-foot-9, 177-pound right-handed hitter showed improved numbers over his first event in the fall, hits from a wide/balanced stance with minimal stride, has a fairly compact swing, shows some gap to gap power while maintaining good balance through finish, showed better bat speed in BP than exit velocity would indicate. Showed improved arm strength and pop times behind the plate, has a solid transfer and release, footwork stays online which allows for accurate throws but has room to get quicker, solid receiver of the baseball.

10/11/15 - 5-foot-9, 177 pound right-handed hitter hits from a wide/balanced stance, short stride, short swing path, line drive type hitter with gap to gap approach, solid approach and shows some pop to the right-center gap, made consistent hard contact in game play, went 1-for-3 with a double and lined out hard to SS, ran a 7.70 60. Defensively, McCabe participated as a catcher and outfielder at the event. Behind the plate he has a short over the top release with footwork that stays online, he showed 69 mph velocity on throws to the bag with 2.25-2.38 pop times. Attacks the ball and plays through in the outfield, 74 mph arm strength from an over the top release.
