2/13/16 - 60 Time: 7.33, Position Velocity: IF-78, Exit Velocity: 89 5-foot-11, 150-pound RHH hits from an open stance and squares up with a short stride, generates easy bat speed, good balance, good feel for the barrel, line drive hitter with some gap power. Stands out in the 2018 class defensively, works through the ball well with athletic actions, soft hands, quick exchange, good body control, high-3/4 release with accurate throws, arm strength was down slightly from previous event but solid. Langston has the look of a high-level 2018 prospect.
10/18/15 - 5-foot-11, 145-pound right-handed hitter hits from an open stance and squares front side with a short stride, short swing path, line drive type hitter who generates bat speed easily, 82 mph exit velocity, consistently squared the baseball in BP and showed some pop for his size, made contact in all at bats in game play going 2-for-3 with two infield singles and a SAC fly, ran 4.57 down the line. Really stood out defensively with advanced hands and good athleticism, works through the ball well with fluid footwork, quick exchange with ability to throw on the move from multiple angles, accurate throws with 80 mph velocity across the infield. Langston should continue to develop into a high-level MIF prospect in the 2018 class. On the mound, works through a high-3/4 arm slot with long arm action, consistently threw strikes in his two inning outing, fastball sat 72-74 mph touching 75 and is mostly straight, used a 63-65 mph knuckle ball as a secondary pitch that had some tumbling action, allowed four hits and struck out three in his two innings of work.
