6-foot-3, 185-pound RHP with a highly projectable frame, arm action is long and loose and projects for additional velocity, locates fastball down in the zone consistently with occasional cutting action, showed solid feel for curveball with 11/5 action in the strike zone, stuck with the two pitch mix in his two inning outing, allowed five hits and no walks while striking out three (all on FB’s). McGill has made a recent jump in velocity with more likely to come.
6-foot-3, 190-pound RHP is starting to show the expected velocity gains, arm action is long and loose and works through a high-3/4 slot with minimal effort, fastball was mostly straight, does a good job of locating the fastball on both sides of the plate, curveball showed much sharper 11/5 action than in the past, has confidence in a solid changeup, walked a few batters early then settled into his outing to pound the strike zone, allowed no hits and struck out one (looking on CB) while producing four ground ball outs. McGill has yet to reach his ceiling, and there is likely more velocity to come for the projectable right-hander.
6-foot-3, 170-pound RHP with ideal pitcher’s frame, uses long arm action and works through an over the top arm slot with regular effort, good tempo and repeats delivery well, average arm speed, fastball shows occasional cut action, has feel for curveball with gradual action that was mostly 12/6, great feel for changeup and locates consistently at the bottom of the zone with some tumbling action. McGill has shown steady velocity but would expect a jump at some point in the near future.
