Fall Prospect Program 2013 - Alexander is a 5-foot-11, 170-pound prospect.  He participated during Week 3 of the Fall Program at Spalding and ran a 7.53 60-yard dash.  He showed soft hands defensively with 71 mph arm strength across the infield.  On the mound, he pitched 3 scoreless innings without allowing a hit, pounding the strike zone with all of his pitches.  Throwing from a high ¾ arm slot, his fastball sat 73-75 mph with some arm-side run, and his 65-68 mph curveball showed 11/5 action. He showed good hand quickness at the plate in consistently squaring the ball up in batting practice, went 0-for-4 in game play.

8/10/13 - Alexander is a 5-foot-11, 175-pound prospect.  He showed better defensively at June Top Prospect Games Event, appeared to be battling through some arm soreness, throws registered 70 mph across the infield (76 at previous event.  At the plate, he hits from an open setup, has a smooth load and uses a short stride, showed good use of lower half torque to generate good bat speed through the zone, had a good round of batting practice consistently barreling up the baseball and using all fields, registered 87 mph tee exit velocity (+6 increase from previous event), ran 5.12 down the line, went 1-for-4 in game play with a line drive single to left.

6/11/13 - 5-foot-11, 170-pound prospect shows solid infield actions at third base, footwork is fluid and shows good hands, registered 76 mph velocity across the infield.   At the plate, hits from an open setup, smooth load, short stride, short path to the ball with a line drive swing, showed moderate bat speed with 81 mph tee exit velocity, ran 7.53 60 yard dash.
