1/20/18 - Morin topped at 87 mph with his fastball at the Johnson County Winter Workout.
2/12/17 - Morin is a 6-foot-2 155-pound right-handed hitting shortstop and right-handed pitcher in Kansas’ 2018 class.  He ran 7.64 laser timed 60 and had a 4.63 home to first.  He has an 86 mph exit velo and has a slender/athletic frame. At the plate, balanced stance with smooth load, minimal hand load, small controlled leg lift, in line stride, hands are free and manipulate the bat head, mostly solid contact in the middle of the cage during batting practice.  On the infield, 80 mph positional velo, high three quarters release, quick catch and throw, quick feet to the ball, loose arm action, mostly accurate throws. On the mound, Morin is lean an loose, touching 83 mph with his fastball, working 80-82 mph, high three quarters arm slot, arm works, throws with some effort, simple and repeatable delivery, 12-to-6 breaking ball, gradual spin, down in zone, showed some command of change-up, mostly 74-76 mph, sinking action, near fastball arm speed, frame and arm action would suggest velo increase as he continues to develop. 

10/30/16 - Morin is a 6-foot-1 150-pound right-handed hitting shortstop and right-handed pitcher in Kansas’ 2018 class.  He ran a 7.41 60 and a 4.56 home-to-first.  He has an 81 mph exit velo. At the plate, balanced stance, smooth load in lower half, minimal hand movement, swing produced hard line drives up the middle in hitting evaluations. On the infield, short high three quarters arm slot, 80 mph positional velo, one of the top velos of the day, quick transfer with quick release, aggressive feet, soft hands, momentum through the catch, mostly accurate throws. On the mound, Morin has a lean frame with a controlled delivery, over the top release, accelerated down the mound, throws with some effort at the end of delivery, loose arm action, fastball at 78-81 mph, one of the top fastball velos for the event, some late cut, breaking ball at 67-68 mph, gradual and late movement, change up at 73-78 mph, has fading action, near fastball arm speed.
