2015 All-Eastern Kansas League - 2nd Team

11/2/14 - Duncan is a 6-foot-1, 215-pound left-handed pitcher. Showed an up-tempo delivery, tucks at balance, good direction, three quarters arm action, quick arm, out in front release point, athletic finish. Fastball has sinking action, at times late, works down in the zone, 81-83 mph, topped out at 85. Feel for a 1/7 breaking ball, 70-72 mph. Command of a sinking change-up with fastball arm speed, 76-77 mph. Last spring we saw Duncan top out at 80 mph, he’s trending up.

5/5/14 - Duncan is a large-framed 6-foot, 220-pound left-handed pitcher for Bishop Miege.  He throws with short, easy arm action from a ¾ slot.  He has a methodical pace to his wind-up, high vertical knee lift and excellent body control which allows him to deliver the ball with an out-in-front release point on a consistent basis.  His fastball was clocked between 77-80 mph and he showed some command of it – working hitters in and out.  He also flashed a 64-65 breaking ball.  He’s logged a good number of innings for Miege this spring with varying results, but considering he is a lefty with clean arm action and a solid delivery its very possible that Miege’s coaching staff giving him a chance as a sophomore will pay off down the road.
