9/15/14 - Last fall we saw Kutzke top out of 75 mph with his fastball with below average command. Standing 6-foot-5 there was some hope for a velocity bump and obviously he has put the work in to make that happen. On Saturday against KC Elite, the tall righty sat 82-83 mph and touched 85. He showed a 66-68 mph 12/6 breaking ball and 75 mph change-up as well. Kutze threw a high percentage of strikes and worked down in the zone collecting ground ball after ground ball in four plus innings of work.

10/19/13 - The projectable 6-foot-4, 170-pound right-hander Kutzke worked from a high ¾ arm slot. His fastball was clocked at 72-75 mph. He had a tendency to fall off to the 1B side which seemed to affect his command.
