1/18/16 - Vandeventer is a 5-foot-11 140-pound left-handed hitting first baseman in Kansas’ 2019 class.  He ran a 4.83 home-to-first and had a 75 mph exit velo.  Vandeventer starts in a balanced position at the plate, wide base, minimal stride, loose hands, middle to pull line drives, body controlled throughout swing.  At first base, high three quarters arm slot, 71 mph positional velo, fluid footwork, quick exchange and throw. On the mound, Vandeventer is a strike thrower, loose and easy arm action, some deception in delivery with tempo, throw with easy effort, repeatable mechanics, conventional delivery, over the top release, fastball at 72-73 mph, curveball has 12-to-6 action, throws for a strike, has feel for change-up at 65-66 mph, some arm side sink.
