10/30/16 - Escamilla is a 5-foot-10 168-pound left-handed hitting outfielder and shortstop in Kansas’ 2017 class.  He ran a 7.13 60 and a 4.18 home-to-first.  He has an 83 mph exit velo, one of the top LHH exit velos. At the plate, open stance with short line stride, smooth lower half load, minimal hand movements, consistent gap-to-gap line drives during batting practice.  In the outfield, 77 mph positional velo, over the top release, short crow hop, fluid glove to hand exchange, mostly accurate throws. On the infield, 77 mph positional velo, high three quarters release, quick catch and throw, clean exchange, active feet, momentum through the catch.
