6/9/14 - Whitcomb is an athletic 5-foot-6, 145-pound class of 2016 right-hand hitting outfielder from Humboldt HS. During hitting evaluations he showed an athletic set-up and open stance. He uses strides in place using a mini-leg kick and has no hand load. Whitcomb has short swing and slight pull approach. His best exit velocity was clocked at 66 mph. From the outfield he moved around well, made clean exchanges and threw as high as 72 mph from a high three-quarters slot. He ran a 4.58 home-to-1B from the right side and a 7.02 60-yard dash.
