3/29/14 - Northwest Class of 2014 shortstop Clayton Custer went 2-for-2 at the plate with a four pitch walk and HBP.  He used the middle of the field and pull side to reach on two line drives.  Once on base he promptly swiped bases (three on the day) showing good playable speed and reads.  In the seventh inning Custer took the mound using 17 pitches, mostly a 80-81 fastball pitches to close the game.  Custer also showed impressive range and actions at shortstop – when the game speeds up he handles it with ease defensively.
