2/12/17 - Lucas is a 6-foot 185-pound right-handed hitting first baseman and right-handed pitcher in Kansas’ 2018 class.  He ran a 7.42 laser timed 60 and a 4.44 home to first.  He has a 93 mph exit velo. At the plate, balanced set up, controlled leg lift to load, attacks ball with aggressive swing, hands work inside ball, showed power to middle and pull side of cage during hitting evaluations.  On the infield, 79 mph positional velo, quick feet to the ball, quick catch and throw with athletic actions, mostly accurate throws. On the mound, Lucas has a strong and durable frame, over the top arm slot, body stay under control during delivery throwing with some effort, throws strikes with fastball at 78-79 mph, showed command with breaking ball, 12-to-6 action, gradual break, change up 64 up, near fastball arm speed.

1/18/16 - Lucas is a 5-foot-11 180-pound right-handed hitting third baseman in Kansas’ 2018 class.  He ran a 4.58 home-to-first and has an exit velo of 88 mph, one of the top for the event.  At the plate, gap-to-gap approach, pull power, balanced stance with load in back leg, aggressive swing, controlled leg lift, quick and strong hands, solid contact during batting practice.  On the infield, high three quarters release, 71 mph positional velo, mostly accurate throws, clean exchange and fluid footwork. On the mound, fastball clocked at 73-75 mph, over the top release, creates direction towards the plate, simple delivery, athletic finish, breaking ball is 12-to-6 curveball at 66-69 mph, breaking ball has some depth, change up at 65-68 mph, near fastball arm speed.
