2/12/17 - Boomsma is a 5-foot-7 155-pound right-handed hitting second-baseman in Kanas’ 2018 class.  He ran a 7.22 laser timed 60 and a 4.40 home to first.  He has an 81 mph exit velo.  On the infield, open and compact stance, controlled leg lift, in line stride, aggressive swing, has feel for opposite gap, repeats swing.  On the infield, 76 mph positional velo, high three quarters release, quick footwork, fields ball in athletic position, quick transfer and throw. 

Boomsa is a 5-foot-7 150-pound right-handed hitting second baseman in Kansas 2018 class. He ran a 7.17 60 and a 4.35 home-to-first.  He has a 74 mph exit velo. At the plate, balanced stance, short stride, simple and repeatable swing, consistent line drives to the middle and opposite field in batting practice.  On the infield, 74 mph positional velo, quick catch and throw with momentum through the catch, high three quarters release, athletic footwork, mostly accurate throws.
