4/4/14 - Beatty was named the Centennial League Offensive Player of the Year in football this past fall and watching him run to first base you can see why.  The 6-foot, 170-pound junior ran three sub-4.20 home-to-first times from the right side, something you just don’t see high school baseball players do very often.  He is somewhat raw as a baseball player with a short, abrupt swing at the plate and a unique low slot throwing from shortstop but what is not up for debate is his overall athleticism and competitiveness.  He also caught the attention of Centennial League baseball coaches last spring, as he was the only sophomore named 1^st Team All-League.
