6/12/18: 2020 RHP pitches from high ¾ arm slot out of the stretch only. Long arm action and arm speed is average. Slow tempo to the dish with tilt at balance point and uphill shoulders. Tall and fall type delivery finishes in line. FB sat 79-81. Mixed in sweeping BB at 67-71 with some action late in zone.

 
6/13/17:  5-foot-11, 200 pound right-handed pitcher sat 75-78, touching 79 with the fastball in his outing.  Fastball features some arm side run.  High 3/4 slot with average arm speed.  Thick legs, drop and drive type delivery.  Leg swings out as hips load.  Level shoulders, finishes upright after release.  Breaking ball has 11/5 shape with some depth.  Struggled to command early in the count but showed flashes of feel for two pitch combination.  Big bodied sophomore has plenty of velocity to come but will need to clean up delivery as he matures into frame.

3/14/15: Clay is a big RHP for a 7^th grader.  His FB has late arm-side run and sink at 71-72mph.  The slider had 10/4 shape with gradual break at 63-66.  His change-up had late sink at 66-67mph.  Overall, he showed feel for 3 pitches.  He throws from a ¾ arm slot with smooth rhythm.  His shoulders stay level and he has good direction.  Arm action is long with above average arm speed.  Clay could be a high follow in 2020 class if continues to mature and add strength.
