Curveball has 10/4 shape with inconsistent command. Above average change-up showed fade to arm side. Good balance and direction down the mound with average hand speed.
2/26/17: The 6-foot, 170 pound right-handed pitcher works from a deliberate pace featuring a high leck kick and arm action. Good rhythm down the mound, releasing from a high 3/4 slot. Fastball sat 75-78, touching 79. Change-up dies off to his arm side at 69-70. Breaking ball has 10/4 shape, inconsistent at times at 69-72. At the plate, balanced setup with smooth load. Minimal hand load. High back elbow leads into level path, with average bat speed. Creates some lift at contact. Top exit velocity of 79mph.
6/15/16 6-foot, 170-pound thinner, athletic body frame, with room to fill. On the mound he uses regular effort to his delivery. Has a slight shoulder tilt to gain leverage on his pitches. He has a high leg kick, landing slightly more closed at foot strike, and finishes with his momentum carrying toward home plate. Throws with a long arm, and some quickness to his arm speed, coming from a ¾ slot. His fastball flahses good cutting action, thrown between 75-78 mph. The curveball flashed signs of being sharp, but had mostly gradual break with 11/5 tilt at 68-70 mph. He has good deception with his changeup because he doesn’t slow his body down, and he uses fastball arm speed, he also spots the pitch well and down in the zone at 72-73 mph.
