4/5/13 Game Notes: The 6-foot-4 200 RHP looks the part with his size and has good athleticism in his delivery. His arm angle looked higher than in past performances. He created good angle and Gray possesses a quick arm. While Gray was mostly 82-83 this week, I would contribute that more to it being freezing outside and guess Gray will be 84-86 sooner rather than later. Gray's breaking ball is more of a slurve, but thrown harder, it will play at the next level. Gray liked to start it at the hitter and catch the inside corner on righties.
Gray is a 6-foot-5 projectable righty. He pitches 83-86 touches an 87 on occasion. Gray's arm is clean but still raw mechanically. It is to project more velocity in the future.
