2/22/15: PITCHING- 6-foot, 160 pounds comes at hitters from a long, high ¾ arm delivery. Front side needs improvement. Stays in line to the plate, lands square. Average arm speed. Fastball was 81-82 with some arm side run. 11/5 breaking ball shows gradual break, slurve type pitch, at 68-70. Changeup was 72 and straight, thrown with fastball arm speed.
6-foot, 160 pounds, possesses average hands in the field. Tendency to play on his heels. Above average arm strength, 82 across the field with accuracy. At the plate hits out of a balanced setup. Hands start low. Uphill swing path. Lower half needs refined. Registered a high exit velo of 81 mph.
9/15/13: 6-foot-1, 140 pound sophomore was 69 mph across the diamond. Possesses a slender frame with long legs, still growing in to his body. Average actions defensively. At the plate he starts with his hands deep and a little low. Lower half lacks involvement. Swing is long, but overall good path to the baseball. Exit Velo of 74 mph. On the mound shows good rhythm and pace within his delivery. Lower half is a little stiff. Throws from a ¾ arm slot. Still developing his breaking ball, however does show good downward movement. While he’s not a high end prospect at the moment, has the makeup to become a top end pitcher in his class.
